We are pleased to be able to offer the services of a women’s health physiotherapist. There will be both weekly telephone and monthly face to face services offered at the Nadder Centre in Tisbury. Appointments can be made by ringing the surgery. The service is intended to help female patients with such issues as bladder leakage or related concerns, e.g. after having a baby – see details on our website – https://tisburysurgery.nhs.uk/services/womens-health-physio/
Wiltshire Talking Therapies are planning to offer low intensity cognitive behavioural therapy (C.B.T.) from the Nadder Centre on Tuesday afternoons. Patients can self refer and they recommend visiting their website: https://www.awp.nhs.uk/our-services/talking-therapies/self-refer-today/wiltshire to find out more. The website advises how to access the service which can be done directly from the online self-referral form or by contacting the admin team by phone or referral can be made by a G.P.
A summary of the process is that the Talking Therapy service would offer an assessment (face to face, video or by phone) to gauge suitability for the service and to outline the psychological support that can be offered for symptoms of mild to moderate anxiety and depression. Following assessment, consideration would be given as to how best to proceed – be it treatment within the service or signposting to another service that may be more suitable to address someone’s current difficulties.
