We follow the NHS Sexual Safety Charter, which means we have a zero-tolerance approach to any form of sexual harassment, abuse, or inappropriate behaviour.
What You Can Expect From Us
A safe and respectful environment
· We do not tolerate sexual comments, gestures, or behaviour towards patients or staff.
· Our team is trained to maintain professional boundaries and to challenge inappropriate behaviour.
Chaperones available
· You can request a trained chaperone for any examination or consultation.
· We will always offer a chaperone when an intimate examination is needed.
Clear and confidential reporting
· If something makes you feel uncomfortable, unsafe, or disrespected, please tell us.
· You can speak to any member of staff or ask to speak privately with a member of our Safeguarding team
· All concerns are taken seriously and handled sensitively.
Support if you raise a concern
· We will listen without judgement.
· We will explain what will happen next and support you throughout the process.
· You will never be penalised or disadvantaged for speaking up.
Your Role in Helping Us Maintain a Safe Space
We ask all patients and visitors to:
· Treat staff and other patients with respect
· Avoid any behaviour that could make others feel uncomfortable or unsafe
· Let us know immediately if you witness or experience inappropriate behaviour
