To improve patient experience and reduce waiting times, Salisbury Hospital is changing the way it provides GP requested blood tests through their Pathology Department.
From Monday 10th August 2026, patients must book an appointment online.
The booking system is available to use now which includes being able to use the Community Diagnostic Centre (CDC) in Salisbury City Centre:
Phlebotomy | Salisbury NHS Foundation Trust
There will no longer be a walk-in service for GP requested blood tests.
Please note: Outpatients, holders of a ‘pink’ request form, those with a Blood Passport and inpatients of the hospital do not need to book.
The online booking system will:
- reduce waiting times
- enable you to choose a date, time, and location that suits you
- provide a better patient experience.
