NHS Digitalisation

From February 2026 initial notification about bowel screening will be sent to patients electronically via the NHS app. This will apparently save the NHS £12 million p.a. Thus, if you already have this App please check that ‘notifications’ are turned on via the App setting as well as in the App itself.

The NHS App is a major part of the NHS long term digital plan, and we will also be looking at using this platform more in the future re invitations, advice, results, etc. so please consider downloading the NHS App if you have not done so already.

Urinary conditions

Due to updated guidance, we will no longer require a urine sample for all urinary concerns. We will be asking patients who contact you with urinary concerns to fill in an online form via our website to be triaged by the doctors for assessment or treatment or follow up.
