We are doing the next round of Covid vaccinations this month. Please look out for a text invitation which will be sent to all those who are eligible under national guidance – and for whom we hold mobile phone numbers. If you haven’t yet booked your vaccination please contact the surgery.
You may have read about the changes in the G.P. contract which have been recently agreed. As yet detail is sketchy.
There will also be changes to services offered by us at the Practice in light of the Bath and North East Somerset, Swindon and Wiltshire Integrated Care Board’s (I.C.B.) decision not to continue to commission certain services from G.P. practices.
Again we await clarity – but as soon as it is available we will highlight all the changes on our website and in Focus.
In addition, some of you may have seen the First Contact Physio at the practice. The current holders of this contract will no longer be providing this service from 1st April 2025. Whilst we are very much hoping to continue this service at the practice, it is quite likely that it may have to be suspended for a short time.
Now some good news!! As our trainee Advanced Nurse Practitioner (Sam Turner) continues his training and nears final qualification, we are delighted to welcome Nurse Donna Sharp to the nursing team. Like Sam, she has a special interest in asthma, and will be specialising in this area as well as covering other nurse duties, such as child immunisations, cytology, travel vaccinations, wounds etc. This will allow Sam further to develop his advanced practitioner role.
