Targeted Lung Screening

Free NHS Lung Cancer Screening is being offered to patients registered with us. If you are aged 55 to 74 years old and are a smoker or have smoked in the past, you are eligible for this new service.

You do not need to do anything – the Lung Cancer Screening team will be contacting eligible people over the next few months. If you are eligible, you will receive an invitation to a telephone appointment. At that appointment, you will be asked some questions about your general health, your family history, and your lung health. Some people will be invited to a face-to-face appointment after the initial telephone appointment.

If you want to know more about the Lung Cancer Screening Programme go to https://swaglunghealthcheck.nhs.uk

Flu and covid vaccinations

Following NHS England guidance, these vaccinations will be offered from 1st October 2026. Please look out for your invitation to attend for an appointment from mid September onwards, and also make sure we have your up to date mobile phone number and/or email address to send the appointment booking link.

AI

Some clinicians at the surgery use the Heidi clinical AI transcription tool to help them write their notes. This time saving tool allows clearer notes and improved efficiency for the surgery. However, a patient can, of course, decline the use of AI recording/transcription.

Your consent will be sought each time before use. Please do let reception know when booking an appointment if you have a preference and do ask your clinician about it if you are unsure.
